“Bolt,” “Bent of Mind” and “Untitled” sculptures by Tony Cragg

Gracefully welcoming guests as they enter the Aria Las Vegas self-park entry lobby atrium are three stainless-steel sculptures by artist Tony Cragg called Bolt, Bent of Mind and Untitled. Resulting in a grounded “poetry” that is at once rational and powerfully ethereal, the three towering columns exemplify how stainless steel can be pushed to its boundaries while remaining graceful with substantial presence. Bolt is a 10-foot-high sculpture that swirls upward from its narrow base in an imaginative bolt of lightning; Bent of Mind gives the illusion of an elegant facial silhouette; and Untitled, a tall column, presents a smooth, curving dialogue.
