Bellagio with Fountains of Bellagio
Built on the site of the Dunes Hotel and Casino, which was demolished in 1992, the Bellagio was inspired by the famously elegant Lake Como town of Bellagio in Italy. Guests step onto the fountain-fronted property and instantly feel transported to an elegant European resort, replete with lavish rooms, award-winning restaurants and a luxurious spa. Surrounding guests with works from the world’s most renowned artists, the Bellagio boasts a lobby bathed in natural light through its glass ceiling, fresh flowers and trees in the Bellagio Conservatory and Gardens and so much more. Everything about Bellagio tells visitors that they are not in Las Vegas anymore yet it stands as only one of the most luxurious hotels on the Las Vegas Strip and worldwide. One of the main attractions at the Bellagio is the Fountains of Bellagio, a vast and intricate choreographed water feature that delivers performances set to light and music. Set in the property’s eight-acre manmade lake, the free shows take place in front of the Bellagio hotel and are visible from numerous vantage points along the Las Vegas Strip and from neighboring structures. The show takes place every 30 minutes in the afternoons and early evenings and every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. to midnight. The lake itself is filled by a freshwater well that was drilled decades prior to irrigate a golf course previously on the site.
