The Strip with the High Roller
Often referred to as "The Jewel of the Desert," Las Vegas has long been recognized as the entertainment vacation capital of the country. World-renowned for its neon glitter, the Strip features a diversity of hotels, casinos, and restaurants, providing opportunities to experience Las Vegas to its fullest. The Strip is approximately 4.2 miles in length. It begins at the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign on Las Vegas Boulevard and Russell Road and ends on Las Vegas Boulevard and Sahara Avenue. Many of the largest hotel, casino, and resort properties in the world are located on the Las Vegas Strip. One of the most visible aspects of Las Vegas' cityscape is its use of dramatic architecture. The rapidly evolving skyline and constant modernization of hotels, casinos, restaurants, residential high-rises, and entertainment offerings on the Strip, have established it as one of the most popular destinations for tourists in the United States, and the world. HIGH ROLLER Located at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, the High Roller is the focal point of the open-air shopping, dining and entertainment district, The LINQ. It's a sight that can't be missed. The High Roller is comprised of 28 enclosed and air-conditioned transparent pods holding 40 passengers each. The pods are roomy with a couple benches and the ride is smooth. The High Roller is the world's tallest Ferris wheel, 9-foot taller than the 541-foot Singapore Flyer, which held the record from its opening in 2008 until High Roller opened to the public on March 31, 2014.
