Union Pacific Locomotive 4442

Located in Henderson, the Clark County Museum is a modern exhibit hall that features a timeline exhibit about southern Nevada ranging from prehistoric to modern times and a collection of restored historic buildings that depict daily life from different decades in Las Vegas, Boulder City, Henderson and Goldfield. The first buildings moved to the Clark County Museum was the Boulder City Train Depot, which was built in 1931 to handle passengers and freight bound for Boulder City and the construction site of Hoover Dam. The building was moved to the museum in 1974 and opened to the public in 1979. West of the depot are a 1920s box car, a 1940s caboose and a crossing signal. Railroad buffs also will enjoy touring the 1932 Boulder City Depot to see a real 1918 Union Pacific steam engine, the Union Pacific Locomotive 4442.
