Riviera Hotel and Casino

Now demolished, the Riviera was an iconic sight along the Strip with its star-lit glass exterior. Located toward the north end of Las Vegas Boulevard, it brought the classic style of downtown near the modern-day megaresorts farther south and symbolized where the past met the present. Through the years, the hotel played host to hundreds of legendary performers and dozens of film and TV productions, including the 1960 Rat Pack classic Ocean’s 11 and Martin Scorsese’s Casino. From the bright, neon-lit façade to its hotel rooms and casino, the Riviera combined the passion and excitement of nostalgic Las Vegas with the style and comfort that put the city on the map.
