Stan Fulton Building - International Gaming Institute (SFB)

Since holding its first on-campus classes in 1957, University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) has developed from a small branch college of the University of Nevada into a thriving urban research institution of higher learning. Noted for its strong emphasis on science and technology, business management and its law program, UNLV has been deemed a “research-intensive university” by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. Along with the main campus, located about 1.6 miles east of the Las Vegas Strip, the university offers the Shadow Lane Campus just east of the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, which houses the School of Dental Medicine (the only dental school in Nevada); the Paradise Campus just east of the McCarran International Airport; and a satellite campus in Singapore. UNLV’s law school, the William Boyd School of Law, is the only law school in Nevada. STAN FULTON BUILDING – INTERNATIONAL GAMING INSTITUTE (SFB) The Stan Fulton Building (SFB) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) houses the International Gaming Institute. The building includes a conference center, computer and conventional classrooms, a high-tech conference room and a casino lab. An integral part of the hospitality curriculum at UNLV since its founding, the university’s focus on gaming education led to the creation of the International Gaming Institute in 1993 to fulfill the need for increased educational programs and research needed to serve the rapidly growing and lucrative gaming industry both locally and worldwide.
