Boulder City

Originally built in 1931, Boulder City started as housing for workers of the Bureau of Reclamation and Six Companies, Inc. who were building Hoover Dam. Today, Boulder City offers parks and small town values and has a population of around 15,000 people. Largely, Boulder City is home to retirees, families, artists and others enjoying its spot overlooking Lake Mead, around the corner from Hoover Dam and just up the hill from Las Vegas.
