Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Headquarters
Created in July 1973, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) was a merger between the Clark County Sheriff’s Department and the Las Vegas City Police. LVMPD provides police services to the Las Vegas and the unincorporated areas of Clark County. LVMPD’s campus location at 400 South Martin Luther King Boulevard allowed the department to consolidate most administrative and investigative units, putting dozens of agency bureaus in a single spot after years of being scattered throughout the valley.
