Bonnie Springs Ranch

A former western town near Blue Diamond, Bonnie Springs Ranch is now a tourist attraction based on historic western ideals like horseback riding. Originally built in 1843 as a stopover for the wagon trains going to California down the Old Spanish Trail, Bonnie Springs Ranch is famed as an 1846 gearing-up stop for General Fremont on his way to California through Death Valley. Since 1952, the ranch has been a tourist attraction and today features a fine dinner house and quaint cocktail lounge as well as a zoo with a variety of native and non-native animals, including Simba the Canadian Lynx and beautiful wolves. The ranch also has a large stable of horses for guests to ride pleasure, pony rides for the kids and a motel.
