Religion
Although nearly a half of the population claims no affiliation to any religion, the city boasts a terrific tolerance for all faiths. Once a Spanish outpost, the city still maintains a strong Catholic foothold as can be seen in its number of beautiful Catholic churches with their stunning architecture while other religious affiliations trend toward Protestant and Orthodox.
